The new initiative, now part of the Liquor Accord, means if someone causes issues in one hotel or club, they can expect to be banned from every licensed premise in the city, without exception.
Liquor Accord President Robert Taylor said the initiative is fully supported by Bathurst Police, and will be adopted for use throughout the Bathurst region.
Incidents that may be subject to the policy include acts of violence, malicious damage, theft and illegal drug activity.
Mr Taylor said another initiative introduced by the accord will target under age drinkers.
“Anyone young persons found on licensed premises will find themselves barred from multiple venues for a period of 12 months from their 18th birthday,” he said.
“We see this policy as providing a strong clear message to the community that we will not tolerate unlawful or anti-social behaviour at our venues,” he said.
The Bathurst Liquor Accord represents approximately 30 venues in Bathurst.
