A Gold Bracelet Consolation (2,260 metres) that is.
After watching his three-year-olds place second in both the Group 2 Gold Bracelet (Cherry Mahoney) and Gold Chalice (Astride) Finals, Smiling Stunner gave the Menangle trainer something to cheer about.
With Luke McCarthy in the gig, she was a convincing 13.7m winner of the Gold Bracelet Consolation for three-year-old fillies.
It was the first win of her three-start career and came in a 1:59.4 mile rate.
Behind her two outsiders snared the minor placings, with Mio Christisimo ($172.70) crossing 1.9m ahead of Fan Tays Ya ($43.30) in third.
Meanwhile, in the Gold Chalice Consolation (2,260m) for three-year-old colts and geldings, it was Jimison ($15.50) who got the job done for trainer Peter Rixon and his driver-daughter Ellen Rixon.
