Mayor Graeme Hanger, a Living Legend himself, said people who live in the Bathurst local government area and have made significant contributions to the community are eligible for the honour.
“They must possess a drive to promote the positive qualities of our city, its people and experiences,” he said.
Nomination forms are available on the Bathurst Regional Council website.
The Living Legends will be selected by a working party that includes Cr Hanger and deputy mayor Michael Coote.
Those who are selected will be announced on Proclamation Day, May 7, during a ceremony by the Macquarie River.
At a later date, the new Living Legends will have trees bearing their names added to Bradwardine Road.
They will join the original 200 Living Legends and the nine added last year.
