The school has already reached their furthest position ever in the tournament (semi-finals) and Kelso cricket coach David Amaral said the boys are ready.
“We’ll keep the tradition up of no training,” he said.
“Our focus is our team spirit, which we’ll keep going.
“It would be lovely to get the win, but we’ll take it one game at a time. The boys are stoked and they had a great time in Albury, which helped bring the boys closer together.”
Kelso played Albury High School in the quarter-final in early March and cruised to a six wicket win.
The game was played at Albury’s Alexandra Oval, were Brendan Pallier took 5-14 with the ball.
Connor Slattery will miss Tuesday’s game because of an injury, while Henry Allen is 50-50 to play.
Besides Slattery’s absence and the doubt surrounding Allen’s fitness, Kelso are expected to field their best team available.
Mark Day will continue to lead the Kelso team from his usual position as captain.
In preparation for the Alan Davidson Shield, Kelso played Lithgow High School on Monday.
Played at Brooke Moore Oval, Kelso cruised to a comfortable seven wicket win in the second round of the Combined High Schools Western cricket tournament.
Kelso, who had a bye in the first, are the current defending champions of the tournament, with the 2017 winners to qualify for 2018’s Alan Davidson Shield.
