Contesting the 249 kilometre Belgian event for Dimension Data on Sunday, Renshaw was amongst those who did not make it to the finish line.
He and team-mates Nic Dougall and Youcef Reguigui were taken out in a big crash in the peloton with 90km to go.
Fortunately Renshaw did not sustain any serious injuries.
“Sooner or later it was going to happen, First touch down on my backside for the year. Happy it wasn't too bad, a little skin lost,” Renshaw tweeted.
“Time to head home and heal up after my commando roll. Do some good sprint training for my my next race, GP Scheldeprijs back in Belgium.”
The Scheldeprijs will be held on April 5.
