Eva Todorska has lived near the intersection for more than 30 years and she said the site has been the location of too many accident during this time.
The latest crash occurred on Sunday morning between two cars, with a 42-year-old man taken to hospital following the incident.
“My heart stopped [when she heard the accident]. I was concerned that one day it might be a fatality,” Mrs Todorska said.
And the cause of all these accidents, she says, is the land formation and lack of visibility.
She said motorists drive up the hill in Browning Street towards a give way sign on the crest of a hill at the intersection of William Street.
“Visibility is very bad coming up Browning Street there’s parked cars [in William Street] obstructing visibility,” Mrs Todorska said.

She said the lack of visibility down William Street, towards the central business district, leaves many vehicles darting across the road without knowing if another is approaching them.
“A car ended up in the front yard of the house on the corner,” she said of another recent accident.
Panorama Road Safety’s Matthew Irvine acknowledged the intersection was “challenging” for motorists due to the lack of visibility of cars approaching the intersection from the CBD side of William Street.
“It’s probably an intersection to just avoid if you’re crossing Browning Street or turning right into William Street,” he said.
“Ultimately safe decisions come down to having enough vision.”
