The second annual Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge is now on show with a wealth of creative entries.
Rachael Young is among those who have made art out of hay bales, and said it was a whole lot of fun making a colourful lounge.
“I do it to be a part of the community and to give the cyclists something to look at while they ride,” she said.
The hay bale competition is run by Blayney Shire Council, with properties along the Blayney to Bathurst competition cycle route encouraged to take part.
Event co-ordinator Tamara Miller said not everyone can ride in the cycling events, but almost everyone can participate in the hay bale challenge.
“Most locals get involved because it’s great way to connect with others in the community, showcase the area and just for the fun of it,” she said.
