BATHURST’S adopted son Grant Denyer has posted video footage to social media of the sickening moment his rally car crashed into a tree.

The motorsport driver was competing in the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship when the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.
“There was an incident today during a competition stage involving Grant Denyer and Dale Moscatt on stage 12 of the Lake Mountain Sprint, Round 2 of the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship,” the Australian Tarmac Rally Championship announced on its Facebook page straight after the accident.
Both occupants were removed from the vehicle, and after an initial assessment were transported to Melbourne with minor injuries.
On Tuesday, Mr Denyer posted the crash footage to his Twitter page saying: “I hope u don't mind if don't watch.”
He also used his Twitter page to thank his supporters following the crash.
“Dale [Moscatt] and I can't thank u enough 4 all the wonderful messages of support. It's really lifted our spirits. V sore but ok,” he wrote.
