Bruce hails from down the road at Mt Victoria and has been involved in community radio for several years.
He has been a presenter on 105.7 in Orange and Blue FM in Katoomba.
He admits he is a fan of retro style music, but enjoys all musical styles.
Having been involved in the music industry for over thirty years, Bruce brings plenty of experience to the station.
He can currently be heard on Tuesday morning’s between 9am and 11am as he fills in for Margaret Hargans who is taking a well deserved break.
Meantime, Megan Jackson takes over the 11am to noon spot on a Thursday filling the vacancy left by the recent passing of Tony Conroy.
Megan is no stranger to 2MCE as she has been a presenter of the Talking Newspaper program for close to four years, but this is first foray into presenting a music program.
Old Favourites
While it is always good to look at new broadcasters it is also great to remind listeners of our longer running programs.
One of the longest running has been Come All Ye presented by Bruce Cameron each Sunday at noon as he brings us the best of local and international folk music.
Then there is always The Bathurst Country Music Club program following at 2pm.
This is three hours of old time country particularly with an Aussie flavour presented by Chris Tobin and John White.
Ronnie Mac has the best of golden memories with his Sunday morning music from 9am each week while another Sunday favourite is “The Connection” Music of the Celts with Roger Hargraves at 7pm straight after the sounds of Latin America with Eduardo and Marcella Paez at 6.
There’s plenty more variety each and every day on your local community station 2MCE 92.3FM

Refresher
Presenters are reminded there is a refresher course on panel and computer operation taking place on April 8 and spots are filling quickly.
There is a notice in Studio one to add your name to.
The courses are aimed at assisting presenters with any queries they may have on panel operation and a general updating of operational skills.
There is no charge and each session runs for approximately one hour.
You will find the course informal with Adam Thompson conducting the one on one courses which will assist in making panelling a whole lot easier.
