And Redbacks captain Matt Willis said he and his team are definitely not sick of grand finals.
“I’ve had my fair share of loses coming through as a junior, so I want to hog as many grand finals as possible,” he said.
“It’s simple [for the grand final]. We’ll go out as normal, looking to play our game.”
The grand final venue has been traditionally held at the Bathurst Sportsground, but has been moved to Morse Park 1 due the pitch’s condition.
“It’s always been at the sportsground for as long as I can remember,” Willis said.
“But it’s a good wicket at Morse Park. It’s a fair bit harder than the sportsground but it won’t suit any team better.”
This weekend is the Redbacks’ seventh grand final in 10 seasons.
“We have a bit of dynasty happening but it has taken a while to get there,” Willis said.
“We’ll use our experience to cash in on the weekend. We won’t have a good team forever and we’re getting older.
“We’re super happy to have made another, considering the players we lost.”
Redbacks grand final run begun in the 2012-13 season, when they defeated City Colts and was followed by another win the following season against Oxford-Centennials.
Colts defeated Redbacks in 2015, before Willis’ side got their revenge a year later.
