Only four current Mariners players will remember that 3-2 defeat to Raiders in September, so revenge might not be on the cards according to Mariners coach Jason Payne.
“I’m sure the players from last year would like to get one back, but there is only four players from that game,” he said.
“We’ve got an almost new team.”
After suffering a hectic pre-season, Payne said he would be happy to get a draw.
“We had a pre-season all over the place. We had to bring juniors up from the 17s to make up numbers.
“To get away with a draw, this weekend, I’ll be very happy.”
Mariners will be without new signing Lauren Stein, who has been suspended after picking up a red card in the 2-all draw against APIA Leichhardt Tigers last Sunday.
Payne said Jessica Carman will come up from reserves to fill in for Stein, while the bench is expected to change due to play absentees.
Payne said he would like to use the advantage of Raiders travelling to his advantage.
Mariners will host Raiders at Proctor Par at 3pm, on Sunday afternoon and will not play another game until April 30.
