A sheep graziers warning has been issued across many parts of the state, including the Central Tablelands, ahead of the change.
”Sheep graziers are warned that rain and a cooler gusty westerly change is expected Sunday afternoon or evening,” the warning states.
“Areas likely to be affected include the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Central Tablelands and Riverina forecast districts.
“There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.”
The forecast in Bathurst for Sunday is a mostly sunny start to the day giving way to a high chance of showers in the afternoon.
There will be gusty winds throughout the day and the temperature is expected to fall to just five degrees overnight on Sunday.
Monday is forecast to be a grey, windy day with a top of just 14 degrees.
