There has being some horrendous accidents on Central West roads in recent times and we don’t want any more over the next few days, especially with many local roads in poor condition at present.
The cooler weather and spasmodic rain making roads slippery and treacherous.
Please take it easy, give yourself plenty of time and enjoy the trip and the time with family and friends.
Remember many accidents occur close to home as you let your guard down after that long drive or as you become tired after a hectic few days, so stay safe, stay alert and stay focussed.
Good Sounds
If you aren’t going away there is always plenty of good entertainment and music on 2MCE 92.3 FM over the break.
Some of the relaxing and easy listening you could be searching for could come from one of our folk programs either One of the Folk on Saturday or Come All Ye each Sunday.
Both programs are from noon with Terry Fatseas, Jock and Ann Roxborough and Paul Kelly alternating with One of the Folk and Bruce Cameron compiling Come All Ye.
Thursday evenings is for Jazz lovers as Henry Bialowas and Geoff Brown present Jazz Notes.
On Sunday evenings the haunting and spiritual sounds of the South American influenced Latin American program with Eduardo Paez kicks off a relaxed four hours.
It includes Roger Hargraves music of the Celts program ‘The Connection’ and finishing with two hours of music of yesteryear with ‘Here It Comes Again’ hosted by Jeff Cox.
Rock’n Nights
......and of course don’t forget Saturday Night Jukebox each and every Saturday night where you get to program the music by phoning in your request on 6331 0092 between 6pm and 10pm.
Whether it’s a rock’n’roll classic of the sixties or a hair band chartbuster from the 80’s or a sizzling 70’s belter let us know what you want to hear.
Just remember it must be prior to 1990 and have made its way onto the Aussie charts.
