Uncompromising, physical and boasting a motor as big as any forward in Group 10, Osborne was the power driving Mick Sullivan’s side in 2015 and 2016.
But Osborne is now with Bathurst Panthers, his junior club, in 2017.
And leading a power-packed Panthers pack, Osborne is “very confident” the men in black will leave Wade Park on Thursday night unbeaten after two rounds of this season.
You always want to get over the top of your opposition number.

And he’s got new CYMS big man Chris Bamford in his sights.
“Definitely. I think that is my job, you always want to get over the top of your opposition number ... I’m not silly enough to run straight at him though,” Osborne laughed.
Bamford has made an immediate impact for CYMS, scoring in his club debut during the Orange club’s 42-6 win against St Pat’s in round one.
“I think (Bamford’s) been dangerous close to the line so we’ll have to watch him there,” Osborne added.
Osborne’s intel into his former teammates will be key in Panthers’ bid to topple CYMS.
He says Dom Maley, Sullivan’s replacement at halfback, will be a key player in the Easter Thursday blockbuster.
“Dom’s more of a running half, so if we can shut him down I doubt the CYMS backline will see too much ball.”
The veteran prop was a fan of the Thursday night game, and said Todd Barrow’s new-look Panthers side was shaping up as one of the teams to beat following a round one win over Lithgow.
“We were a bit dusty in that first half against Lithgow but we clicked in the second half and put on plenty of points,” he added.
“Like all things injury will play a part but we’ve got great depth. Our reserve grade side is really strong.
“I had a look on the weekend and we had guys like Jay McClintock and Byrnsey (Kyle Byrnes) playing … they’re regular first graders.”
Panthers clash with CYMS from 9pm on Thursday night.
