Rose wins the Stella for a novel that wouldn't 'let her go'

Writing a novel takes commitment and time, but few demand as much as Heather Rose's The Museum of Modern Love, for which the Tasmanian writer on Tuesday won this year's Stella Prize. She began the book 11 years ago with a central character that was based on Marina Abramovic. The conceit was to be a performance artist eating a meal on her own, during which apparitions from her past would join her.
