All across the Bathurst region, people will pause on Anzac Day to remember all those who have fought and fallen in conflicts across the world.

Services of reflection and remembrance will be held across the region at different times.
TIMES AND PLACES:
- 4.30am: Dawn Service outside the Carillon War Memorial in Kings Parade
- 8.30am: Rockley war memorial service
- 8.30am: Yetholme war memorial service
- 10.15am: Anzac Day Parade, leaves Bathurst RSL Club.
- 10.30am: Commemorative Service outside the War Memorial in Kings Parade
- 2pm: Sofala war memorial service
- 6pm: Lowering of the Colours service
A dawn service will be held outside the Carillon War Memorial in Kings Parade at 4.30am on Tuesday.
This will be followed by the Anzac Day Parade, which will leave the Bathurst RSL Club at 10.15am, before proceeding to the Carillon War Memorial.
The Anzac Day Parade will be led by school children, with the Spirit of the Anzacs sign. There will be a youth marching band, World War Two veterans in vehicles and other veterans and their families.
A commemorative service will be held at 10.30am at the same location as the dawn service.
Bathurst RSL Sub-Branch president David Mills said the commemorative service will be significant for the recently renovated Carillon War Memorial.
“One of the most significant services is the 10.30am one, which will be held from George Street facing the Carillon,” he said.
“It will allow the backdrop to be the new campaigns that have been engraved onto the Carillon.
“[The Carillon] is a place to commemorate all services, both men and women.”
Mr Mills said the dawn service is held during a time when many veterans remember the anticipation before the launch of an attack.
Other services held around the Bathurst region’s war memorials will include Rockley at 8.30am, Yetholme at 8.30am and Sofala at 2pm.
At 6pm, the Carillon will host the final service of the day – the Lowering of the Colours – which will be supported by local RAAF volunteers.
Mr Mills said it is hard to give an exact figure, but going off 2016, he estimates there will be over 1000 people at the dawn service and many more for the commemorative service at 10.30am.
Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing will host its very popular annual Soldier’s Saddle race meeting at Tyers Park, with courtesy buses running from the Bathurst RSL to the track.
