Sergeant Lucano, a member of the Royal Australian Air Force, will be marching in the dawn service at Windsor, NSW before marching in the main Sydney Anzac parade later in the morning.
But his most high-profile engagement will be when he tosses the coin at the Roosters’ National Rugby League clash with the Dragons in the Anzac Day fixture at Allianz Stadium.
He will also be representing the RAAF during the Australian Defence Force parade to be held around the stadium.
Sergeant Lucano, who was born and raised in Bathurst, attended Holy Family and Kelso High schools.
He became a qualified carpenter before joining the Air Force in February 2007, serving in Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010.
He is now a Sergeant Work Supervisor posted to 65SQN as part of the Airfield Engineering team and is based at RAAF Base Richmond, NSW, on Sydney’s outskirts.
