Two years ago, Panthers wore special jerseys for the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.
Panthers president Dennis Comerford was one of the key people who planned to present the jersey to the Royal Australian Navy boat.
“[2015] was a World War One theme and this time we decided to make it a World War Two theme,” he said.
“We’ve done one for the army, now the navy and next time when we host the game [2019], and if I’m still president, we’ll plan to commemorate the air force and the Vietnam War.”
Mr Cummerford previously served in the navy for 20 years.
This year was the third in a row were both Bathurst teams – Panthers and St Pat’s – have played on the weekend before Anzac Day, with both teams playing for the ANZAC Rugby League Memorial Trophy.
