Emergency crews rushed to Toronto Street just after 7.20am after reports the B-double and sedan had collided head-on.
Police, paramedics and Police Rescue were deployed to the scene, with authorities fearing people were trapped in the wreckage.
However, both injured drivers were able to be freed from their vehicles without assistance from Police Rescue.
Paramedics treated both drivers at the scene before transporting them to Bathurst Base Hospital.
One of the drivers was complaining of chest pain following the collision, however, the nature of any other injuries was not known.
Traffic was diverted around the accident site by police, with the road re-opened by 8.30am Wednesday, after debris had been cleared from the area.
