Lee Steele, the author of 100 Heritage Homes of Bathurst and District, will hold an afternoon discussion in the Bathurst Library. The talk will discuss some of the homes built during the first 200 years of Bathurst and explore some of Bathurst’s social and physical history. Sing Australia come and try evening will be held at 7.30pm. If you have been told that you can’t hold a tune but love to sing, then Sing Australia may be for you. We are an Australia-wide network of people who just love to sing, so come along and join us at the Senior Citizens’ Centre at 176 Russell Street, down Flanagans Lane. There is ample parking.
Saturday, May 6
Bathurst Presbyterian Church Autumn Fair will be held on Saturday, May 6. This year the proceeds from the fair will go to the Bathurst Women's and Children's Refuge. It is a not-for-profit, community-based service for women and vulnerable families, including those escaping domestic and family violence. The refuge provides safe emergency accommodation, early intervention and prevention services, parenting support, group work, casework, counselling, crisis support, child protection and ongoing support in the community.
St Barnabas Church South Bathurst Autumn Fete will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 9.30am to 1pm. There will be many stalls, including books, cakes, craft, white elephant, jams, honey, plants, etc. There will also be morning tea and sausage sandwiches.
