The annual event pairs up restaurants with either a winery or brewery to serve up one entree, two main meals and a dessert to the tour participants
This year, six bus loads of people will stop at four locations to dine on the region’s best produce during the full-day tour on Sunday, June 18.
People begun lining up at 8am, an hour before the tickets went on sale, with the first bus booking out within 15 minutes.
Among those who lined up for tickets was Eliza Longmuir-Pearce who said it was her third year on the tour.
“It’s just a good day, the food’s lovely, the wine’s lovely and the atmosphere on the bus is good,” she said.
Winter Winery Wander organiser Greg Tucker said this year’s new additions – Two Heads Brewery and Bathurst Goldfields – were hot favourites.
He said the aim of the day is to promoted Bathurst’s wines and breweries, as well as the city’s top chefs.
Among the pairings on the day are: Vale Creek Wines with restaurant 9inety 2wo, Grass Parrot Wines and Bathurst Goldfields, Renzaglia Wines and Al Dente, 3 Views Wines and Abercrombie House, Mount Panorama Estate and Morish Morsels, and Two Heads Brewing and Bathurst Wines.
Tickets can be purchased by calling Panorama Cruise and Travel on 6331 7044 or visit 147 Howick Street, Bathurst.
