It's not that his chance, who will go from barrier three with his son Anthony in the gig, is not an honest performer.
Rather it’s due to the fact the Sportswriter colt faces some stiff opposition such as undefeated duo Lumineer and Sicario.
“It won a consolation at the [Gold Crown] carnival, but they’ll be too good for it this week,” Frisby said.
“He hasn’t improved since then no, he’s just had good draws. He’s just an honest little foal.
“I was surprised he got into the final, but he’s always run a place for me. He’s had 10 starts and only missed out on a cheque once.
“That was when he galloped in the Gold Crown [heat] three times. He’s won one, but he’s always been third, fourth or fifth.”
Steve Turnbull’s Love Me Always also made the final.
