The book, published in 2015, is a compilation of her National Trust columns that featured in the Western Advocate over the course of a decade.
Ms Steele, who also has the title of one of the city’s Living Legends, had said she always thought she might turn her columns into a book once she had written 100.
Her hope was that the articles would help to document the history, both built and social, of heritage homes, and other buildings, in the Bathurst district.
The book is divided into seven chapters, based on the types of homes and locations.
It was self-published with the help of grants from Bathurst Regional Council and the National Trust.
Ms Steele will be at Bathurst Library from 2.30pm on Monday.
People can book a place at the author talk by phoning the library on 6333 6281.
