“From that first training session they’ve come on in leaps and bounds,” coach Dean Matthews said of his under 19s team.
“They’ve been playing some club footy too and picked up some fitness, which has been good, so hopefully it can all come together on Saturday.
While the forward pack shapes as a strong one the backline will be the young side’s key area.
Flyhalf Isaiah Ackroyd is back from injury and he will look to create space for the likes of Bulldogs winger Dylan Gredka.
Matthews also spoke highly of fellow Bathurst young gun Felix Quinn, who has been tasked with captaining the side.
Michael Latu, Fletcher Begley and Marshall Fox are the other Bathurst Bulldogs players taking on Central Coast this Saturday, with kick-off at 2.30pm.
