Amanda Ferguson’s side will be attempting to be the first central west women’s sevens side to take home a country championship title, and will do so out of pool one come Saturday morning.
The side includes Bathurst duo Danielle and Rebecca Plummer.
Alongside Mid North Coast, Central West has also been grouped with Far North Coast, both sides enjoying home ground advantage at Port Macquarie for the country titles.
Central Coast, Central North, Hunter and New England make up pool two, with round robin games on Saturday followed by finals on Sunday.
The top two sides from each pool progress through to the finals, meaning Central West’s shot of progressing past its three-team pool are strong.
West Wyalong and Cowra dominate the Central West squad, with three and four representatives respectively.
Games begin at 9am on Saturday.
