Crowds milled around lovingly baked cakes, extravagant quilts and fresh produce, with many hoping to pick up some tips for themselves.
Porcelain artists Jenni Ford and Louise Tarbert were among a host of people demonstrating crafts to the crowds.
They paint intricate works of art onto porcelain, and say while it is a very old craft, the number of entries in this year’s junior section gives them hope it will continue into the future.
“It goes back a long, long way, especially with the country ladies,” Ms Ford said.
“These days, there’s so many different materials and techniques, you can do some really nice modern things on porcelain now.”
