Thousands of people have attended this year’s show, the 149th for the event, with show rides a hit on Saturday evening.
Among them were Bathurst family Tamara Stone, Brent Murphy and Charlotte, 7, and Flynn Murphy, 2, who arrived just as the sun was setting.
“I’m looking forward to going on the Breakdance ride,” Charlotte said.
“It’s going to be scary and fun.”
The group comes to the show every year, and Mr Murphy said there was a lot to entertain all members of the family.
“There’s a good crowd and there’s a great atmosphere,” he said.
Royal Bathurst Show Society president Sam Farraway said crowd numbers on Friday were on par with last year, and when final figures are counted he hopes they may be a little up.

He said warm, sunny weather has been a significant boost to numbers to this year’s show.
“We’ve been blessed with the weather, it certainly makes the show,” he said. “All the competitions, events and attractions are in full swing.”
Mr Farraway said the grand parade on Saturday was back bigger and better than ever.
In the lead-up to the 150th show next year, organisers were keen to ensure that the parade was a stand-out feature.
New parade stewards Jane Thompson and Kim Morgan-Hunn have come on board to grow the event, and this year cattle and their handlers were added.
“They’ve got a huge passion to make sure it happens,” Mr Farraway said of the growth of the parade.
“We’re trying to encourage competitors to get involved.”
Mr Farraway said the Royal Bathurst Show highlights “excellence in our region and it showcases the very best in our local community”.
“It it is truly regional and we get entries throughout the western region, interstate and even overseas,” he said.
Mr Farraway praised the work of the show’s volunteers and members.
