After steering Gregs Legacy to a commanding 22 metres win on ANZAC Day at a non-TAB meeting for his older brother Josh, Mitch Turnbull was in the gig behind the same horse on Sunday.
This time it was against stiffer opposition in Three Year Old Pace (1,680 metres) at a TAB meeting, but once more Gregs Legacy got the nod.
Those back-to-back wins were the first of the Modern Art x New York Score colt’s career, the best results his 10 prior starts a pair of seconds.
Going from barrier two on Sunday as a $4.80 chance, Gregs Legacy began well to take the lead.
There he stayed, stringing the field out over 50m early on then holding off a late challenge from Morgnmindy ($13.30) to salute by 1.9m.
He rated 1:59.2 after getting home in 28.7 seconds.
