Third was a tactical battle with O’Donnell initially breaking clear of the chase, only to be caught in the closing stages when Billy Hutton out sprinted Mark Windsor for third.
Hobson was fifth while Kirsten Howard produced what could possibly be the strongest finish by a female rider to be sixth.
B grade fought out a tense battles behind the leaders with Steve Scott taking the win from former National Masters Champion Bruce Goddard and current champ Jim Lavis.
