If the Rabbitohs thought it could only get better after the 102-0 mauling at the hands of the Fishies they were wrong, coming up against the defending premiers in the second round.
But Tairua has rung the changes, with only himself, centre Carl Ralph, hooker Dylan Coe, second rower Peter Miller and prop Jayden Harvey retaining their position.
Steve Riley, who played halfback in round one, has moved to five-eighth and will be partnered by veteran Peter Boon.
Nathan Ryan has moved from fullback to centre while Warren Peachey, Brayden Peachey and Dominic Duncan have all been named to play their first match of 2017.
Boon is the biggest inclusion in the side, despite his aging status, as he continues to show he can get the job done.
He showed glimpses of his ability to catch out defences with chip kicks and short balls in reserve grade in round one and his experience will no doubt help ease the load on Riley.
Travis Hill has been promoted from the bench to start up front alongside Harvey and those two, along with the rest of the forwards, will have their hands full against the monster Forbes pack.
Action at No. 1 Oval begins with League Tag at 11am.
