Family First Credit Union hosted a morning tea on Tuesday morning, May 16, providing Bathurst community groups with grants.

Chief executive officer Darryl Macauley said the credit union’s decision to provide grants demonstrates the corporate responsible it has to the Bathurst community.
“Firstly, it gives us the ability to demonstrate our social responsibility to the community,” he said.
“Second, it’s a thank you to the community groups and thirdly, it is to help their good work in the community.”
Centacare, Macquarie United Football Club, Majellan Bowling Club, Bathurst Men’s Shed, Bathurst City Amateur Swimming Club, Community Op Shop, Bathurst Public School P&C, Bathurst Giants and Accessible Living Options all received grants totally $5156.
Over $30,000 has already been provide to 42 different community groups in other regions.
Family First Credit Union begun operations in Lithgow in 1967 and now has three other branches – Bathurst, Blackheath and Mudgee.
