Two students from each local primary school were invited to participate in ball toss competition, with the two year 6 from the Cathedral School claiming the honour as ball boy and ball girl respectively.
Entrants were required to roll the ball towards a witches cone, with the closest attempts winning.
Twelve-year-old Ethan was the last man standing in a competition to chose the Cathedral School representatives.
“At out school we had to get the ball into a basketball ring and whoever got it through won,” he said.
Ethan is quite an athlete, being a swimmer, basketballer and soccer player.
Eleven-year-old Lucinda is also quite active in sports, playing Australian rules, netball and soccer, the latter for the regional representative team – Western NSW Mariners FC.
Panthers will play Canberra Raiders on June 10.
