But for pure audience passion and participation, it’s unlikely any of the previous big visiting musical acts will be able to match The Wiggles when they play at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on Tuesday.
The children’s entertainers were last in the city in 2015, when they left the stage to interact with their young fans as they performed, collecting bones and roses as they went.
Anthony, Emma, Lachy and Simon will be joined by Dorothy the dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the dog and Henry the octopus for two performances at BMEC, which will be followed by shows at Orange on Wednesday.
The children’s group, which was formed in Sydney in 1991, will tour Australia, New Zealand, North America and the UK in 2017.
Their hits include Hot Potato, Big Red Car, Do The Propeller and Rock A Bye Your Bear.
