St Pat’s coach Shane Conroy is banking on the men’s Premier League Hockey derby with Souths to be typically frenetic when the two finals contenders go toe-to-toe on Saturday at 4pm.
Third and fourth on the ladder, St Pat’s and Souths, respectively, will be hoping to put their best foot forward as both look to keep pace with the competition’s top two, Lithgow clubs Panthers and Zig Zag.
Looking to continue to keep pace and lock down a top two spot, this is a game Conroy’s outfit must win if it’s a hope of snaring a coveted position on the ladder.
“And that’s where everyone wants to end up, isn’t it, in that top two with a second chance,” Conroy said.

“We’ve started well, we’ve had to with the shorter season, so we’ll be looking to continue that against Souths.”
Both teams are relatively evenly matched attack wise, with St Pat’s bagging 14 goals in five games and Souths 17 in the same time.
Defensively, though, the Saints hold a clear edge, conceding eight less goals than the two blues.
Still, Conroy was solely focused on what his side wanted to produce, rather than anything the opposition can throw at them.
First pass is at 4pm.
