Rebels claimed a 15-19-109 to 4-1-2-25 win against the ever improving Giants side, who had 74 points docked after fielding an extra man in opening seconds of the fourth quarter.
“I can feel for Kenno [Giants coach Mark Kennedy],” he said.
“It wasn’t intentional and it’s unfortunate because it didn’t reflect the game.
“They [Giants] came out pretty physical but we played them off in the fourth quarter.
“I’m 100 percent happy with the result. Our last two games we’ve been pushed and it’s good for the competition.”
Casey White was the best goal kicker for Rebels, booting five goals throughout the match.
Adam Ryan, Harry Bowden and Bill Watterson all kicked two goals each.
Griffin said the points on the scoreboard were unaffected until after full time, meaning the game was played competitively to the end.
“The last five to 10 minutes was tightly contested,” he said.
Central West AFL will take a break for the long weekend, with Rebels to host the Dubbo Demons on June 17.
