The Winter Winery Wander is on this Sunday, which will showcase another aspect to Bathurst’s food and wine culture.
Wandering begins at 9.30am at the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre, with departure to four of six highlighted desinations – Vale Creek, Bathurst Goldfields Mt Panorama, Renzaglia Vineyard, Abercrombie House, Mount Panorama Estate and Two Heads Brewing.
Panorama Cruise and Travel director Greg Tucker said the day will be a great outing.
“Tickets sold out in a couple of weeks. There were a few people on the waiting list that got some tickets,” he said.
“It’s chock-a-block full. We’ll have 55 on each bus.”
Attendees will enjoy a course of food from some of Bathurst’s top chefs and a matching beverage at each venue they visit.
“It’s incredible the popularity of the event. It’s great value, a great outing and a fun day,” Mr Tucker said.
“It’s incredibly well organised and flows well. We had wet weather last year, which drew even more people.
“There’s a lot of fun on the buses, with music.”
Mr Tucker described the food as exquisite.

“The chefs really show case what they can do. Wineries will be displaying their produce and people we’ll be able to sample local produce and wine in a fun environment.”
Attendees are aware of which location their bus is taking them to, but the food is kept a mystery.
“They see the routing of bus before they buy their tickets,” Mr Tucker said.
“The menu is a total surprise, until they get on the bus.”
Two changes have been made for this year’s event.
Two Heads Brewing will team up with Bathurst Wines to present food, beer and wine at their brewery, at the old Crago Mill, while Restaurant 9inety 2wo will be located at Vale Creek Winery.
Mr Tucker said the changes were needed, as the distillery had production scheduled for the time of the event.
Two Heads Brewing owner Greg Hedley said that he heard good things about the event.
“Greg [Tucker] asked, we heard good things about it and we got on board,” Mr Hedley said.
“We’ll be showcasing the beer we have on offering and the support of we show to local businesses.”
Tickets went on sale back in late April.
