With champion hoop Greg Ryan in the saddle, the Sebring x Goldlago filly came seven wide into the straight in the Rhino Cup Benchmark 55 Handicap (1,620 metres).
The $6 chance drew level with leader Kate’s Pearl before punching on to take the lead. She then held off a late challenges from Supreme Goddess ($15, Michael Travers) and Arlington’s Pick ($5 favourite, Jean Van Overmeire) to make it three wins in her last five starts.
That was not the only reason for the Bathurst trainers to smile as stablemate Somebody ($5) saluted at the same meeting, taking out the Class Three Handicap (1,020m).
While there was less than a length between the top three in Annecy’s race, Somebody was more than three lengths clear of Yours Mine Ours ($3.30 favourite).
