They will hold a collection day on Saturday, July 8 from 10am to 2pm when they are inviting CWA members and members of the community to come together to provide a variety of items for various charities and CWA activities.
The items being sought, according to CWA Bathurst Evening Branch secretary Fiona Hall, will be used to create school packs, hospital and emergency packs and mother and baby packs.
“We are looking for things like cotton, pins, needles, fabrics, baby bootees and singlets, old spectacles, face washers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, small packets of tissues, shower caps and hand cream or lip balm, exercise books, pencils, rulers, pegs, scissors, blank cards and cloth nappies,” she said.
Those attending can have a bite to eat (for a gold coin donation) and there will also be a raffle. It will also be a chance to meet CWA members.
The event will be held at the Bathurst Day Rooms at 172 Russell Street.
