The estate, on the city’s south-east outskirts, doesn’t just feature some of Bathurst’s most prestigious homes, she says.
“There is a great community there and great families,” she said.
“There are lots of like-minded people out there and that's what brings about the sense of community.
“It’s a great place for children – quiet, safe. The sort of place where you are still able to play in the street.”
The estate is close to The Scots School, which is well-supported by Blue Ridge residents, according to Ms Purvis.

The estate was always a short drive to the Bathurst CBD, but that drive has been made a little shorter again by the NSW Government’s $104 million upgrade to the Great Western Highway through Kelso, which has added two lanes and improved the traffic flow through that area significantly.
Ms Purvis said there is a good mix of city and country at Blue Ridge.
“The smallest block is one acre and blocks range through to one-and-a-half acres,” she said.
“People like the feel of a larger block.
“You can be out of town, but still have the convenience of being in town.”
The estate’s benefits will be enjoyed by the new owner of 87 Blue Ridge Drive, which is on the market through First National Bathurst.
The five-bedroom, two-bathroom property is in the western part of the estate, giving it views to the city’s iconic Mount Panorama.
On a 5366 square metre (more than one acre) block, the lifestyle home has generous proportions throughout and, according to Ms Purvis, “effortlessly offers every aspect of contemporary living”.
There is more than enough room for the biggest family to spread out: from the five large bedrooms (the main with ensuite and walk-in robe) to the three spacious living areas, including rumpus room up one end of the house where the kids can hang out and play games.
The kitchen is made for entertaining and looks over the sun-drenched living areas, while the large rear verandah overlooks the solar saltwater in-ground swimming pool.
It will no doubt be a popular spot for the new owners during the long, lazy days of Bathurst’s late spring and summer.
The home also features high ceilings, timber flooring and, outside, established trees throughout for privacy as well as a tradesman’s entrance and a formal entrance.
The property is on the market for $849,000.
