The day presented a great opportunity for one-on-one course advice and to meet teachers and past graduates from local TAFE NSW campuses to discuss training opportunities.
TAFE NSW Bathurst library manager Peter Nakitch said the open day was one way to talk about what TAFE provides.
“We’ve been talking about TAFE patterns, the modes of studies, the courses available and, generally, what’s on offer,” he said.
“People can come in and look at the place and see what’s here.”
Student engagement officer Angela Trevor-Jones said the open day was also a chance for potential students to check out the courses on offer.
“We’ve been providing information for courses to those thinking of a new career pathway and showing the options we have on offer, such as certificates and pathways to university,” she said.
