For those heading to Bathurst for the Great Race, camping is a great way to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the event.
For many fans, camping is the only way to experience the drama and excitement of the Bathurst 1000.
Plenty of motor sport fans go all out for the weekend, with amazing campsites that add to the experience and tradition of Bathurst’s most iconic sporting event.
There are eight different campgrounds available across the Mount Panorama precinct, including the McPhillamy, Reid and Sulman, Max Cameron, Paddock, Chase and Enduro Campgrounds and the Motorhome and Harness Racing Motorhome Parks.
Each campground differs in price and some allow check-in from the weekend before the Bathurst 1000.
Most campsites will have access to toilet and shares, while the Harness Racing Motorhome Park has a strict total fire ban.
Tickets can be purchased from the Ticketek website at premier.ticketek.com.au.
Campsites have a part payment option, however, all payments must be received in full prior in August 11.
The 2017 Bathurst 1000 will be on from October 5 to 8 and all campgrounds must be vacated by 10am on October 9.
