Coco Twist ($16.80) defied her sizeable odds to hold off Deep Blue ($4.60) by a neck in a thrilling duel to the line.
Out To Strike ($5.60) finished third while odds-on favourite He Can Fly ($1.60) was seventh.
Chapman’s runner wasn’t out the quickest from box two but ran strongly over the opening 100 metres to hold her lead into the opening turn.
She never surrendered the lead, winning in a time of 30.60 seconds.
It’s the second straight win for the Collision x Double Twist bitch.
“I’ve only had her for two starts. She’s very well bred. She’s a sister to Mister Twister and Panel Beater. They’re really classy dogs at the moment,” Chapman said.
“She’s not the fastest bitch but she seems to be holding her own in her races. She got the lead again today and she’s got a lot of early toe.
“While she’s not that fast other dogs seem to have trouble getting around her. It’s probably a trait to have when you’re not the fastest dog, but she seems to be improving with every run.”
Full brother Mister Twister was the recent winner of the $100,000 Group 1 Peter Mosman Final at Wentworth Park.
