Jarvis’ selection comes on the back of a solid season with the Western Region Academy of Sport (WRAS) squad and continued improvement against older, more experienced rivals in the Premier League Hockey competition.
“The big thing I first noticed about her was her fitness and athletic ability,” WRAS hockey head coach Shane Conroy said.
“Through the WRAS program she was able to improve on her skills and that has helped her a lot.
“She’s one of those players that has a hockey brain naturally. I think playing Premier League last year and this year full-time has helped her a lot as well. Having a stick in her hand without a long break helps too, WRAS runs through summer so she’s continually had the stick in her hand.”
