Parade begs to differ.
On Tuesday night 15 keen Pokemon Go players, of all ages, stood in the freezing cold outside the Presbyterian Church to catch an extremely strong Snorlax.
A recent update to the game in the past week has added a new element, where groups of people can take on a super strong Pokemon at once and if defeated, can catch the Pokemon for themselves.
Parade has been busy trying out the new update and has come across plenty of keen players across town (and strong Pokemon!).
Pokemon Go is alive and well.
Rug up, it’s getting cold
It only seems like yesterday we were sweltering in 40 plus degree heat, well those days are a faint memory now, with the temperature set to plummet this weekend.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting temperatures will drop to minus six degrees both Saturday and Sunday.
So drag out your winter woollies and rug off, because it’s going to be freezing.
Parade, in particular, will be thinking of all those poor parents and kids who will be out in the thick of it honouring their winter sport commitments, Parade will be thinking of you all as she works from the snugly warm office.
With the cold front coming, it’s a timely reminder for any asthmatics out there to make sure they’ve got their Ventolin ready and if you haven’t make sure you stock up.
Exciting times in Kings Parade
Parade has a bird’s eye view of the Winter Festival construction works going up in Kings Parade and has to say it is very exciting.
Parade had a ball ice skating last year, and was surprised how quickly she picked it up. She just hopes she is again able to master the skill again this year, when the rink opens again, and manages to get a few laps in without breaking a leg!
The ferris wheel and carousel also look amazing, and Parade can’t wait to have a go on both. This year’s Winter Festival is certainly shaping up to be a beauty!
