The four juniors played against Group 9, 11 and 20 under 12s sides at a carnival in Dubbo on Saturday and Sunday.
Bathurst Panthers under 12s coach Shane Hastings, who coaches Cameron Hastings, Powyer and Hunt-Cameron, said the juniors are fantastic rugby league players.
“It was an outstanding experience for all the boys, to go down and experience this development group,” he said.
“The friendships they made from other clubs were outstanding.
“It’s fantastic to see them go so well.”
Hastings praised the ability of Miranda, who plays his rugby league with St Pat’s.
“He’s awesome young fellow. He was a bench player but came off the bench and done his job. So did Blakey [Powyer],” he said.
“They’re fantastic young players.”
Hastings said it was great for rugby league in Bathurst, to have four local players represented in a 20 man squad.
“There were boys from Lithgow, Orange, Mudgee and Cowra,” he said.
Lithgow Storm under 12s coach Peter Morris coached the Group 10 under 12s boys.
Hastings described Morris as an “outstanding” coach.
Group 10 lost its two games on Saturday – against Group 11 and Group 20 North – and won both its games on Sunday – against Group 9 and Group 20 South.
Hastings thanked the effort of Bathurst Panthers president Craig Lawson, who has put in plenty of effort.
