Over the opening 10 days the NSW side skippered by Bathurst talent Peacock had seen some good individual displays and twice they had come close to victory.
In their tour opener MCC held on by six runs, while the 25-over match against Dorridge CC saw the hosts win on the second last ball.
But playing at St Peter’s College on Wednesday, NSW had something to celebrate with victory against Yorkshire.
It was a good performance in the field which set up the five-wicket win, with Yorkshire all out for 169.
Peacock dismissed two of his rivals’ top-order, including removing Yorkshire’s opener leg before wicket, to finish with figures of 2-31 off 10 overs. The talented all-rounder also took a catch.
Peacock was not required to bat in the chase, NSW sealing victory with 7.1 overs remaining.
