THE DRIVER of a car which allegedly mounted the gutter and crashed into the flag pole at Bathurst Police Station on Friday night has been charged with a string of driving offences and refused bail.

The man has also been charged with carrying a cutting implement, which was allegedly found on him after he was apprehended.
The 25-year-old Kelso man was questioned by police after allegedly crashing his car outside the police station on Rankin Street.
The car came to a stop – with the engine still running – after hitting and destroying the flagpole that stood outside the police station.
The man was arrested by police, charged and refused bail. He appeared before Bathurst Local Court on Saturday, where he was again refused bail, and will reappear before court on Monday.
