The tour is a way for the Bathurst guard to impress American college scouts, and what unfolded in Indianapolis will certainly help his cause.
The Adidas Invitational is an exposure certified event, with plenty of National Collegiate Athletic Association coaches and officials in attendance. Playing in the under 17 boys gold division, the NSW outfit was one of 73 vying for glory. They made it to the round of 16.
NSW won all of its pool games, beating Truth 88-59 then surviving overt-time to beat PAE 59-58 and Kardia Kings Gongwer 68-64.
Though going down 76-65 in its crossover game against IE Side 2018, based in the host state, it was still an impressive effort. Cranston-Lown will now head to the Big Foot Classic in Las Vegas.
