Bathurst Regional Council has committed to installing new equipment at the park, including swings, rockers, climbing structures and slides.
The area surrounding the playground will receive new seating, pathways, vehicle control fencing and tree planting.
Mayor Graeme Hanger said the new playground equipment would create a wonderful space for children, parents and carers to meet, play and relax.
“Council’s commitment to maintaining and improving our playgrounds ensures our community can enjoy the outdoor living spaces now and into the future,” Cr Hanger said.
“This will be a vibrant, fun and safe place for families in the local area to spend time and enjoy.”
Construction is expected to start in late August and cost about $50,000.
