Anderson took a round victory in his class to continue his stellar run in the series.
Not only does Anderson lead his own class, he also sits fourth overall when lined up against the Championship class competitors.
After some early hiccups in qualifying Anderson was rarely fazed across his three races in Queensland.
In a consistent weekend Anderson finished fifth in all his races and has set himself up well for the last two rounds of the season.
Anderson (243) now boasts a strong lead over nearest Kumho Cup contender John McCorkindale (186). Jim Pollicina (156) sits in third.
“As soon as we got the car out there for the first race it was fantastic. In qualifying we struggled a little, but after some tuning we got the car looking good,” he said.
“The Supercars were running their new supersoft tyre over the weekend and that left a lot of loose rubber across the track. That meant we had to be a bit selective with our racing lines.
“It was just the perfect round, the sort of round you wish you could have every time you go out there. It’s always good to add another trophy to the collection.”
“It’s a great result after the podium round I had at Winton. We thought we could be thereabouts in the championship at this stage of the season, but to lead [my class] by this much is amazing,” he said.
“I’d like to give a big thanks to the team of Ken, Matt, Josh and Sam. It was a team effort.”
Jack Smith dominated at Queensland, picking up pole, three wins and a new lap record on his way to the round victory.
Anderson and the field will now enjoy a break before the series’ penultimate round from September 8 to 10 at Phillip Island and the concluding round at Sydney from October 27 to 29.
